XAUUSD Analysis: Corrective Rebound Within a Broader Bearish Structure

XAUUSD Analysis: Corrective Rebound Within a Broader Bearish Structure

XAUUSD | Technical Outlook

Market Structure

XAUUSD is entering a pause phase after an aggressive bearish breakdown, with price attempting to stabilize above the recent lows near the $4,300–$4,350 region. The sharp sell-off from the $5,200+ area forced a clear structural deterioration across the H1 and H4 timeframes, with strong impulsive downside candles confirming heavy seller dominance.

However, the latest price action suggests the market is shifting from pure liquidation into a short-term corrective rebound. While buyers have managed to defend the recent low and push price back toward the $4,400 area, the broader structure remains firmly bearish, and the current rebound still appears corrective unless higher resistance zones are reclaimed.

Key Resistance Zone

The nearest resistance is located at $4,430 – $4,480, where the recent rebound is now meeting prior intraday supply and breakdown structure.

Additional resistance levels:

$4,550 – $4,600 (H1/H4 supply zone)

$4,700+ (major structural resistance)

As long as price remains below $4,480, bearish pressure is likely to persist.

Key Support Zone

Immediate support lies at $4,300 – $4,350, where the recent rebound originated and buyers stepped in.

A breakdown below this zone would expose further downside targets:

$4,200

$4,100 – $4,120 (major structural support)

A sustained move below $4,100 would confirm continuation of the broader bearish trend.

Expectations

Bearish Scenario (Primary)

The broader structure remains tilted to the downside while price trades below $4,480.
A rejection from current levels followed by a break below $4,300 would likely trigger renewed selling toward $4,200, with potential extension toward $4,100.

Bullish Scenario (Alternative)

A sustained move above $4,480 would signal stronger recovery potential, opening the door toward:

$4,550 – $4,600

$4,700+ if bullish momentum strengthens

However, a broader reversal requires reclaiming higher timeframe structure.

Outlook

Gold is attempting a short-term recovery after a sharp bearish washout, but the broader technical structure remains under clear downside pressure. While buyers are defending the recent low for now, the rebound still looks corrective, and sellers are likely to remain in control unless resistance levels are decisively broken.
